How to Change Your Gmail Password

The best passwords are long, memorable, complicated — and they change every once in a while.
To fend off potential potential break-in to your Gmail account, it is good practice to change your password every two months or so, but of course you should protect your emails with a new password immediately when you suspect somebody might be reading all the Gmail you get (and possibly even send some from your account).

No Password is Fully Secure

A good password frequently updated does not protect against keyloggers on your computer and people looking over your shoulders.

For increased security, you can have Gmail require phone verification in addition to your password.
